Paddi Mcgrath
Tiny Bio | Paddi McGrath is a Vancouver mixed media artist, working with oil and acrylic paints, printmaking, and collage. Her art is inspired by nature, storytelling, whimsy and in this case DADA. In addition to her personal practice, Paddi works as an art facilitator, collaborating with vulnerable seniors, war veterans, and individuals with disabilities, witnessing the positive impact of art on their lives.
Paddi is a founding member of Magpie’s Nest Community Art Space, focusing on community art projects emphasizing upcycling while acknowledging the power of art to bring people together.
Tiny Statement | Paddi’s Almond Rocca sculptures were born from an inability to refrain from fiddling with her hands, especially after ingesting a sugary treat. These creatures began to appear around the house in random, unexpected places, waiting for the opportunity to escape into the world at large.
