Tiny Bio | Janet Mervin is a multidisciplinary artist exploring hair as lineage and living bond.. Rooted in tradition and shaped by personal history, her work traces connection, release, and growth across generations. 

Tiny Statement |  This work extends my exploration of hair as lineage, shifting from ancestry to the living bond between myself and my five children, six strands of our hair braided together. Where Hairloom Tree honored the women who shaped me, this piece reflects the generation I have shaped. The work exists in the tension between holding on and letting go, between family as origin and family growing beyond my past and present, into their future.
